Analyst

New York City

KBB Partners is hiring an Analyst to work with investment banking, private equity, and asset management executives on their market data and information services portfolios. These data services enable KBB clients to complete day-to-day tasks from deal sourcing and origination to closure. As a Market Data Analyst, you would be responsible for managing client subscriptions, advising on data procurement, and ensuring client employees have the proper workbench of data services required for their jobs. The Analyst will be the third member of KBB’s fast-growing market data team.

This is a hands-on role, offering broad exposure to project management, procurement strategy, and financial services operations in a highly entrepreneurial environment. While there is a substantial analytical component to the position, it is also very much about ‘doing’ and rapidly implementing ideas, including producing client-ready presentations and executing the details of data-driven projects.

Responsibilities

Entitlements Management & Execution
  • Oversee client access to data products in their portfolios
  • Manage the process for setting up client new hires on the proper workbench of data services
  • Remove licenses for departing employees to generate dollar savings and ensure license compliance
  • Analyze user trends, market data spend allocations, and product usage to maximize ROI on all data services
Project Management
  • Onboard new clients and supplier partnerships and develop relationships with client executives
  • Develop and lead implementation plans by coordinating project tasks across internal, client and supplier teams
  • Drive continuous improvement of the project and portfolio management process, including creating and refining standard communications and training plans, resource allocation frameworks, and other implementation templates
Analytics & Presentations
  • Develop systems and processes for measuring and reporting project and partnership successes
  • Lead creation of client analyses, including financial business cases and savings reports
  • Gather data from a variety of datasets and original research to develop client-ready presentations
  • Refine analytical frameworks to improve internal processes for presentation creation

Experience

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 1-2 years of prior work experience in consulting, finance, or operations is preferable but not required
  • Polished – confident working directly C-Level executives, advisors and investment professionals
  • Well-organized with tireless attention to detail and analytical rigor
  • Proactive and confident with a strong work ethic – you set challenges for yourself and you hustle, and you are enthusiastic about clearing roadblocks when necessary to get things done

Senior Analyst, Travel

New York City

KBB Partners is hiring a smart, witty, fun, and service-oriented Senior Analyst to work with some of the most prestigious institutions in the world on their travel programs. This is a hands-on role, offering broad exposure to global investment banking, private equity, and law firm executives within a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position requires a proactive and strong work ethic – you will continuously set challenges and hustle, and you should be enthusiastic about clearing roadblocks when necessary to get things done. Along with day-to-day account management and customer service, you’ll contribute to the development and marketing of some of the most innovative approaches to high-end corporate travel.

KBB is not a travel agency, but we live and breathe travel and integrate it with other critical management components to support our members’ operating models. As a service-as-a-service business, we leverage analytics, data and innovative solutions across suppliers, technologies, and agencies to reduce operating costs for our clients.

Responsibilities

Account and Project Management
  • Work with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to implement corporate travel programs and onboard new members
  • Create and manage all account project plans, including schedules, requirements, deliverables, and milestones
  • Develop relationships with client executives and staff by advising them on access to KBB programs
  • Support groups and meetings contract negotiations and contribute to development of the group’s business plan
  • Advise clients on travel and expense policies and processes, benchmarking, and industry trends
  • Support roll-out of KBB membership manager and analytics apps
  • Provide flawless customer service for all client requests using an organized and detailed approach
Communications and Product Development
  • Lead training sessions for client executives and administrative staff
  • Support negotiations and implementation of status grants and upgrade loyalty programs
  • Create presentation and marketing materials, including supplier and training guides, proposal comparisons, and other frameworks to drive client participation and engagement
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas, models, and frameworks for new KBB travel products
  • Support best practices and knowledge sharing across KBB and its members
Industry Relations
  • Streamline rate loading and fare filing and work with supplier partners to audit discounts and rates
  • Structure partnerships, develop supplier relationships and assist in RFPs to advocate on behalf of KBB members
  • Participate in and contribute to industry events, roundtables, and publications to stay current on corporate travel developments

Experience

  • 1-5 years of corporate travel experience, preferably as an account manager within a travel management company, hotel, airline, or groups and meetings desk
  • Excellent organizational skills and flawless attention to detail – ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage a large volume of information while providing exceptional customer service under pressure
  • History of effectively managing complex implementation projects
  • Polished and confident with impeccable speaking, writing, and presentation skills
  • Experience developing technology for and working in the GDS (Sabre) would be a plus
  • Creative, resourceful, and passionate about taking initiative to get things done
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
Candidates without corporate travel experience but who have demonstrated an ability to succeed, an interest in travel, and a willingness to go above and beyond for our members will also be considered
